Public Facing Activations

Amanda Linares Installation – NO VACANCY at The Miami Beach EDITION
Cuban-born Multidisciplinary Artist Amanda Linares presents “Tierra Húmeda,” an installation of clay tiles and graphite drawings on wood that meditates on the intertwined relationship between land and memory—how terrain can absorb, echo, and preserve the stories we carry.

Located at The Miami Beach EDITION, Linares’s installation for the City of Miami Beach’s “No Vacancy 2025” marks the first-ever participation of the Miami Beach EDITION in the program. With Tierra Húmeda, Linares constructs an intimate landscape of earthen surfaces and delicately rendered marks, tracing the emotional and ecological imprints embedded in the ground beneath us. The work invites viewers to consider land not as static material, but as a living archive shaped by ancestry, migration, and the passage of time.

Bringing together elements central to Linares’s practice—material experimentation, poetic observation, and a deep engagement with place—the installation offers a quiet yet resonant reflection on the ways environments hold memory, and how those memories in turn shape our sense of belonging.

Showing until Saturday, December 20th
