Artadia – Atlanta Awards
Deadline: October 1, 2024

The Artadia Awards provide contemporary visual artists living or working in Atlanta with financial support and exposure. Three artists will receive unrestricted funds of $15,000, and one artist will receive the Marciano Artadia Award of $25,000.


Tom Howard/Margaret Reid Poetry Contest
Deadline: October 1, 2024

The Tom Howard Prize of $3,500 will go to a poem in any style or genre, and the Margaret Reid Prize of $3,500 to a poem that rhymes or has a traditional style. Ten honorable mentions will receive $300 each. Fee: $22.


Bennett Prize
Deadline: October 4, 2024

The Bennett Prize is a stipend/grant-in-aid program that supports the fine art practice of a woman painter working in figurative realism. The prize, administered by The Pittsburgh Foundation, provides $25,000 annually over two consecutive years and a solo exhibition to the winning artist. A runner up will be awarded $10,000.


Center for Craft Research Fund
Deadline: October 4, 2024

The Craft Research Fund provides grants up to $15,000 to support new and interdisciplinary research about craft in the United States.


2025 Right of Return Fellowship and Frieze LA Impact Prize
Deadline: October 11, 2024

The Right of Return Fellowship is open to directly impacted creatives from every discipline. A panel of external reviewers will select six new 2025 Right of Return Fellows from an open-call applicant pool to receive a $20,000 grant, mentorship, and community building. The 2025 Frieze Impact Prize will be awarded to a visual artist or experimental filmmaker who is either a Right of Return alumnus or one of the six new fellows. One artist will be selected to receive the Prize, which will award them $25,000 and the opportunity to showcase their work at Frieze Los Angeles, which takes place February 20–23, 2025, at Santa Monica Airport.


DocX Residency—Another World is Possible
Deadline: October 14, 2024

The DocX Residency—Another World is Possible is an opportunity for documentary artists, independent scholars and knowledge-keepers. Fellows will be awarded $20k each to support projects in a pivotal stage of late development or production.


Clark Art Institute Research and Academic Program Fellowships
Deadline: October 15, 2024

These fellowships are intended to nurture a variety of disciplinary approaches and support new voices in art history. Applicants should hold a PhD or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.


Smithsonian American Art Museum 2024–2025 Research Fellowships
Deadline: October 15, 2024

These fellowships are residential and support full-time research in the Smithsonian collections.


Art Omi Residencies
Deadline: October 15, 2024

Art Omi: ArchitectureArt Omi: Artists, and Art Omi: Writers invites residents to attend at no cost to themselves except travel. Catered meals and comfortable, beautiful lodgings are provided in a scenic location in Columbia County, New York.


Keshet Makers Space Experience
Albuquerque, NM
Applications Open: September 15, 2024
Application Deadline: October 15, 5:00pm MST

This 10-day choreographic residency provides studio rehearsal space, daily peer-led movement classes, business workshops specific to performing arts entrepreneurs, and housing. Keshet does not cover travel or ground transportation, nor provide additional financial resources.


Vermont Studio Center 2025 Residency
Johnson, Vermont
Deadline: October 15, 2024

Visual artists and writers can apply to enjoy private studios and rooms, meals, and access to a Visiting Artists & Writers Program. Fee: $25.


NYC Winter Film Awards International Film Festival
Deadline: October 18, 2024

This festival showcases emerging filmmakers in all genres from around the world. All selected films are screened at New York City’s Cinema Village.


Collective Imagination for Spatial Justice Grant
Massachusetts
Deadline: October 21, 2024

NEFA’s grants ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 support Massachusetts-based imagination teams that are dreaming up public art that can help us see, feel, experience, and imagine justice now without the pressure of having to predetermine a project that may come out of the imagination stage.


Squeaky Wheel Workspace Residency
Buffalo, New York
Deadline: October 25, 2024

The short-term residency is open to applicants working in media art who are seeking resources, time, and support for ongoing projects or the creation of new work.


Rbhu Engineering: Rbhu Gives Back Grants
Deadline: October 28, 2024

The Rbhu Gives Back Grants offer $12,000 worth of free engineering services to artists in need. Any art piece that needs engineering services is eligible.


Loewe Foundation Craft Prize 2025
Deadline: October 30, 2024

The Loewe Foundation seeks to recognize uniquely talented artisans whose artistic vision and will to innovate set new standards for the future of craft. The prize for the winning entry is 50,000 euros. The shortlisted and winning works will feature in the exhibition and accompanying catalogue in Madrid in Spring 2025.


AICA-USA Art Critic Fellowship Open Call
Deadline: October 30, 2024

Beginning in January 2025, this program is intended for emerging arts writers and provides mentorship, professional development workshops, and a publication opportunity.


Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans
Deadline: October 31, 2024

This fellowship supports thirty New Americans— immigrants or the children of immigrants—who are pursuing graduate or professional school in the U.S. Each Fellowship supports one to two years of graduate study in any field and in any advanced degree-granting program in the U.S. up to a total of $90,000.


The Morgan Conservatory Artist in Residence Program
Cleveland, Ohio

This residency offers emerging and established artists from around the world who work with papermaking, book arts, and printing to explore focused projects. As a working studio, gallery, gathering place for the community, educational hub, and purveyor of some of the finest handmade papers in the world, the Morgan offers residents a variety of ways to grow their practice and build strong connections with the community.


apexart 2024–25 NYC Open Call
Deadline: October 31, 2024

Creative people who have interesting exhibition ideas, trained and student curators, artists, writers, and creative individuals, regardless of experience level, background, or location can submit a 500-word proposal to present an original group exhibition at apexart’s NYC space.


Mesa Refuge Residency
Point Reyes, California
Deadline: November 1, 2024

This residency supports writers, activists, and artists whose ideas are “on the edge,” taking on the pressing issues of our time. It offers writers a room in a home above a wetland in Point Reyes, California. Application fee: $50.


Black Mountain Institute Shearing Fellowship
Las Vegas, Nevada
Deadline: November 1, 2024

For emerging and distinguished writers who have published at least one book with a trade or literary press, this fellowship includes compensation of $40,000 and housing.

PEN America Literary Awards Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers
Deadline: November 1, 2024

12 emerging writers will be recognized for their debut short story published in a literary magazine, journal, or cultural website. The winning writers each receive a $2,000 cash prize and will be published by Catapult in their annual anthology.


National Sculpture Society Stanley Bleifeld Memorial Grant
Deadline: November 4, 2024

This $5,000 prize is awarded annually to a sculptor who has demonstrated outstanding ability in their field and created a body of work inspired by nature which includes works of sculpture in the round and in bas-relief.


California Documentary Project Grants
Deadline: November 4, 2024

The California Documentary Project (CDP) supports documentary film, audio, and digital media productions that explore California. Funding is available in three categories: Research and Development Grants up to $15,000, Production Grants up to $50,000, and DP NextGen Grants up to $15,000.


Artistic Production Grant
Deadline: November 4, 2024

VIA Art Fund is accepting letters of inquiry (LOIs) for their Artist Production grant program. The grant awards individual artists, nonprofit organizations, and institutions $25,000-100,000 in support of new artistic commissions that take place outside museum or gallery walls, within the public realm, or in nontraditional exhibition environments. Project must have a confirmed exhibition venue.


The Studios at MASS MoCA Artist Residencies
Deadline: November 8, 2024

Fully-funded fellowships are available to national and international artists for two or four-week residencies, including General Fellowships, fellowships for Black or Indigenous Artists, Oregon Visual Artists, a Massachusetts Family Fellowship and a number of University-sponsored Fellowships.


Right to Write Award
Deadline: November 12, 2024

The Right to Write Award covers full tuition for Monthly Mentorship, a celebrated 7-month program helping authors integrate writing into their lives in sustainable ways, deepen their craft, and become their own best editors—for life. Through Monthly Mentorship, writers experience support, community, and challenge, while bringing projects to completion.


Women’s Studio Workshop Residencies
Rosendale, New York
Deadline: November 15, 2024

Women’s Studio Workshop offers Studio, Residency, Art-in-Education Artist’s Book, Artist’s Book, Artist’s Book for Indigenous Artists, and Research Publication Residencies for women and trans, intersex, nonbinary and gender-fluid visual artists. Their studios are located in the foothills of the Hudson Valley’s Shawangunk Mountains.


Dresher Ensemble Artist Residency
San Francisco, California
Deadline: November 15, 2024

This residency supports artists in Northern California who are in their early to mid-career stage with free studio space and up-to-date equipment to create new work in the time-based arts such as theater, performance, dance, movement, music, sound art, instrument invention, as well as collaborative and interdisciplinary work. Artists also receive a stipend of up to $1,500.


Rauschenberg Emergency Grants
Deadline: November 26, 2024

These grants of up to $5,000 support direct treatment expenses that have been incurred, or are needed, for medical, dental or mental health treatment. Artists practicing in the visual arts, film, video, electronic, digital arts, and choreography are eligible.


Dramatists Guild Foundation Emergency Grants
Deadline: Rolling

Dramatists (playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists in the theatrical genre) facing a financial crisis and needing financial assistance and/or support are eligible to apply for an emergency grant.


Indigo Arts Alliance Mentorship Residency Program
Portland, ME
Deadline: Rolling

This program brings together artists from diverse backgrounds of the African Diaspora to engage in their creative process, while building lasting relationships rooted in co-mentorship. Artists of all disciplines are encouraged (painting, sculpture, illustration, writing, dance, music, theater/performance, photography, fiber/textiles, etc). Currently accepting applications from the North Eastern region (Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island).


Breck Creek Artist-in-Residence Program
Breckenridge, Colorado

Open to regional and national artists of all disciplines, Artists-in-Residence spend 2-4 months in a live/work studio in cozy downtown Breckenridge, Colorado. Artists receive a biweekly stipend of $600


Musicians Foundation
Deadline: Rolling

Application for one-time financial assistance is open to professional musicians across all genres. You must be a professional music performer, composer/arranger, or educator in a specific time of need caused by an unexpected hardship (e.g., medical or dental situation, natural disaster, or certain housing crises).


Pollock-Krasner Foundation
Deadline: Rolling

The Foundation welcomes applications from visual artists who are painters, sculptors, and artists who work on paper, including printmakers. Grants are intended for a one-year period of time. The Foundation will review expenditures relating to an artist’s professional work and personal expenses, and amounts range up to $50,000. Artists must be actively exhibiting their current work in professional artistic venues, such as gallery and museum spaces.
