TM Davy (b. 1980) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. He was educated at The School of Visual Arts (BFA) where he also teaches. Davy has had solo exhibitions at Galerie Thomas Fuchs in Stuttgart, Germany (2018) and 11R in New York, NY (2017). Davy’s work has been included in numerous group exhibitions, including The Lure of the Dark: Contemporary Painters Conjure the Night at MASS MoCA, North Adams, MA (2018); Summer Camp at Galerie Suzanne Tarasieve, Paris (2012); B-Out, curated by Scott Hug at Andrew Edlin, New York (2011); Con Amore at Aarhus Kunstmuseum, Denmark (2011); No Soul for Sale, curated by Maurizio Cattelan and Cecilia Alemani, at Tate Modern, UK (2010); and Nudes at Galeria Fortes Vilaça, São Paulo (2009). Reviews and articles on Davy’s work have been published in The New York Times, Artforum, Art in America, and The Village Voice.
Hayden Dunham (b. 1988, Austin, TX) currently lives and works in Los Angeles. Creating complex visible and invisible systems, as well as discrete objects––often byproducts of her systems––Hayden Dunham investigates the exchange of information between the hard and soft architectures of building and body. Dunham’s works embody ideas of transformation and a process of facilitation, where objects are conditioned and supported through their individual internal transformations. She has participated in exhibitions and performances at Andrea Rosen Gallery, New York; MoMA PS1, New York; Artist Curated Project, Los Angeles; SIGNAL Gallery, Brooklyn; New Museum, New York; Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris; and the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin.
Ayana Evans (b. Chicago, IL) lives and works in New York. Evans received her MFA in painting from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University and her BA in Visual Arts from Brown University. She has attended the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture and the Vermont Studio Center. Solo exhibitions include the Barnes Foundation, Philadelphia, PA, El Museo Del Barrio, New York. Additional institutional projects include the Newark Museum, Newark, NJ and the Queens Museum, New York. International performance festivals include Accra, Ghana, Chale Wote Festival; Fort de France, Martinique; Miami, FL; Baltimore, MD; and Chicago, IL. Evans’s on-going performances/public interventions include Operation Catsuit and I Just Came Here to Find a Husband.
Raúl de Nieves (b. 1983 Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. De Nieves is a multi-media artist, performer, and musician. De Nieves’ work often develops its own intricate visual symbolism drawing on both classical Catholic and Mexican vernacular motifs to develop his own mythology. He was included in the Whitney Biennial, 2017 and MoMA PS1’s Greater New York, 2015. And has exhibited widely, including New Orleans Museum of Art; The Museum of Art and Design, New York; Rod Bianco, Oslo; Mendes Wood, DM Sao Paulo; and the Zabludowicz Collection, London Solo exhibitions include Company Gallery, New York, 2016 and Apalazzo Gallery, Brescia, Italy, 2017. He has performed at Documenta 14, Performa 13, MoMA PS1, ICA Philadelphia, The Watermill Center, The Kitchen, Artists Space, Real Fine Arts, and numerous other venues.
Jasmine Nyende (b. Los Angeles, CA) lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. Nyende is a new media artist, writer and musician, exploring the field of social memory storage, the commodification of emotional labor and the intuitive forms of creativity for healing. Jasmine is currently writing a book of poems entitled Flesh Between Heaven and Earth about family dynamics and runs a radio show on KCHUNG Radio in conjunction with her art & poetry zine entitled Fit Form Function. Jasmine is also lead vocalist for afropunk band Fuck U Pay Us. Recent group exhibitions include Smart Objects, Los Angeles. Performances include the Hammer, CA and MoMA PS1, NY.
Lila de Magalhaes (b. 1986, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. She earned her MFA from the University of Southern California, and her BA from the Glasgow School of Art. Recent exhibitions include Mutt. R, Los Angeles; LTD, Los Angeles; Abode, Los Angeles (solo); Steve Turner, Los Angeles; Bubble Tea, Milan; Country Bumpkin, Portland; SPF15, San Diego; Touchstones Rochedale, Manchester; Freud Museum, London; UP STATE, Zurich; and 356 Mission Rd., L.A.
Will Sheldon lives and works in New York. Sheldon’s hybrid painting-drawings suggest a hallucinatory, dream-like space, with the works functioning as thresholds or ‘portals’ into the realm of the imagination. He received a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in 2013. Recent solo exhibitions include White Columns, New York and Cleopatra’s, Brooklyn (both 2017). Group exhibitions include Karma International (Los Angeles), 2017.
Fin Simonetti (b. 1985, Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian artist and musician based in New York. Solo exhibitions include LIFEMORTS at Interstate Projects, Brooklyn, 2017; Pastoral Emergency at SIGNAL, Brooklyn, 2018; and IS PATH WARM? at Good Weather, Arkansas. Additional exhibitions include Greenpoint Terminal, New York; and lead her series 4th.WAV at MoMA PS1, New York. Recent projects include a book with Rita Ackermann published by Innen/Nieves, and her debut album ICE PIX came out on Hausu Mountain last year.
Keijaun Thomas is a New York based artist and current Franklin Furnace Fun Recipient. Thomas creates live performance and multimedia installations. Her work investigates the histories, symbols, and images that construct notions of Black identity within Black personhood. Thomas earned their Masters degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Thomas has presented work in Los Angeles, CA; Portland, OR; Portland, ME; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; New York, NY; Miami, FL; and Taipei, Taiwan; Paris, France; Mexico City, Mexico; Santiago, Chile; Istanbul, Turkey; Beirut, Lebanon; Saskatchewan and Vancouver, Canada; and the United Kingdom.
Sarah Zapata (b.1988 Corpus Christi, TX) is an artist and writer based in Brooklyn, NY. Zapata examines gender and cultural performativity through the use of textiles, erotica, and performance. She has held one person exhibitions at the Museum of Arts and Design, El Museo del Barrio, and Deli Gallery in New York. She has participated in group exhibitions at the Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art, New York; MoMA PS1, New York; the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, Omaha, NE; LAXart, Los Angeles, CA, amongst others.
Cajsa von Zeipel (b.1983, Gothenburg, Sweden) studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt and the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. Recent solo exhibitions include Alpha State at Company Gallery, New York; Saturn Return, Andrehn-Schiptjenko Gallery, Stockholm; Ponytails, Company Gallery, New York; Zoo Collective—Cajsa von Zeipel vs Carl Milles, Millesgården, Stockholm; and Insulting the Archive, Arcadia Missa, London. Additional exhibitions include the Nordic Museum, Seattle; Mitchell Algus Gallery, New York; The Scandinavian Institute, New York; Artipelag, Stockholm; and Swedish Art Now, Stockholm.
