On Tuesday, October 31st Sculptors Guild is set to celebrate their best anniversary yet with their annual gala event from 5-9 pm at Jim Kempner Fine Art. The event, honoring formative sculptor Lin Emery and her kinetic creations, will feature a silent auction of stunning artworks by guild members along with refreshments and entertainment. Works by artists including Lin Emery, Eric David Laxman, Michael Wolf and others will be available for purchase in the silent auction, with proceeds to benefit the Guild directly.
Over an 80 year period, Sculptors Guild has worked tirelessly to provide a platform for New York area sculptors to receive better exposure for their work and develop their talents – what better way to celebrate than with a blowout? With the soulful strains of jazz-blues guitarist Woody Mann set to rock the night away, the event will be a great opportunity to party with fabulous art for a great cause. So go grab a party mask if you like and come out to rub shoulders with the sculpting stars!
Sculptors Guild Honorary Committee members have devoted their time to this great cause, so come and toast to the guild with the likes of Scott Broadfoot, Jan Garden Castro, Bonnie Pfeiffer Evans, Carole Feuerman, Susan Fischer, Michael Manjarris, Maria Nevelson, Renata Schwebel, Richard Timperio, Hans Van de Bovenkamp, and Fred Wilson. With such an influential past and a prestigious present, let’s toast to another wonderful 80 years ahead! Tickets are limited and available at the Sculptors Guild homepage: www.sculptorsguild.org
