
Highlights include the Nova sector, which presents 35 galleries showing new work by up to three artists; 16 curated solo booths in the Positions sector; and the fourth year of the Survey sector, consisting of focused presentations of work from before 2000. The much-loved Kabinett sector highlights 29 carefully curated exhibitions within booths across the fair.
Nicholas Baume, Director and Chief Curator of Public Art Fund, returns for his fourth and final year curating Public, featuring over 20 site-specific works in Collins Park. Public was first unveiled at a reception on Tuesday, November 29, including performances by Davide Balula, Lady Bunny, Rob Pruitt, and Naama Tsabar. On Thursday the fair announced that next year’s Public sector will be curated by Philipp Kaiser, independent curator and critic.

The show also includes a premier program of film and video works, selected by David Gryn, Director of Daata Editions and Artprojx – which runs throughout the show – and a feature film selected by New York based film consultant and strategist, Marion Masone – which plays on Friday, December 2. This year’s dynamic Conversations and Salon program once again brings together key speakers including leading artists, gallerists, art historians, curators, museum directors, critics and collectors to discuss a diverse range of topics – the talks run from Thursday, December 1 to Sunday, December 4. The fair also marked the announcement of the next shortlist of the BMW Art Journey: Max Hooper Schneider, Maggie Lee and Beto Shwafaty.
