Back in its SOHO digs on Mercer Street, VOLTA NY with its mostly solo artist shown by its participating galleries electrified and the wattage blew out a spectacular outing this year. Everyone came to see what is the crème de la crème for the galleries to single out or at least see the work in focus per booth. AF came to view the selections and some of the galleries were game to talk about the artworks they are passionately showing this year. When one gets jolted to attention because of an arresting piece of work, it is magic and the main function of this fair is to put that artist into your consciousness. It most certainly burned an impression and with the equivalent power of electro-shock therapy that these works will not be forgotten at all. VOLTA brings New York the freshest and powerful talent to grace the fair walls. If you are fortunate enough to nab one of these artworks, it will surely add a new vibrancy to your space and also your life.
