At the new space of Fred Torres on West 28th Street, AF attended to view the magnificent C-Print images by Seb Janiak for his show The Kingdom, which opened last November 14th. Fred Torres shared his excitement of taking on a much smaller space than his previous one on 29th Street by showing really ultra edited and curated art shows. What was now limited in square footage did not stop the bold presentation of magnanimous images done by Janiak. The waterfalls could power a whole continent with its awesome current or Michelangelo would have been in ecstasy at the cloudscape that could have inspired his ceiling paintings at the Sistine Chapel. Fred wants to take it back to a simpler time when a gallery owner can interact freely with clients and get that intimate feeling into art dealing once more. It only proves that BIG things can come in small packages. We look forward to more great things from this jewel box of a gallery where the brilliance is the art on its walls.
