Water! Water everywhere! And so much art to drink in. AF took a dip into the refreshing summer show at Daniel Cooney Fine Art entitled “Making Waves” and boy did we also see art that made a splash! The curated show of photography from 15 different artists sparkled with the ever-iconic summertime themes of bare moist skin, bikinis, sun drenched bodies, blue waters and beaches (or bitches beautifully photographed) for miles.
Making ripples in the current are the following artists in the show: Harry Callahan, Aaron Cobbett, Deborah Hamon, Brandon Herman, Andre Kertesz, Nathan Lerner, Wayne Levin, Anderson & Low, Joseph Maida, Will McBride, Slava Mogutin, Aline Smithson, Brea Souders, Joseph Szabo, Edmund Teske, and Frank Yamrus.
AF heat seeking shutterbug, Max Noy, zoomed in on the action and captured the art denizens of Chelsea’s Thursday night making waves of their own. You can either feel it is smooth sailing or a choppy sea sick ride but one thing’s for sure – this is summer art that makes waves to let you ride out the hazy hot season!
