On June 18, 2013 from 7-10PM, Fourth Arts Block (FABnyc) will host The Blind Pig, a speakeasy soirée in the penthouse of The Standard, East Village. In true Lower East Side fashion, groovy-meets-chic at this celebration with seasonal drinks courtesy of Caledonia Spirits and stunning views of the city skyline. Attendees are invited to try their luck in a raffle and silent auction, enjoy delicious cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and dance the night away to speakeasy-themed tunes. Seth Kessel & The Two Cents Band [http://sethkessel.com/] will provide accompaniment for the evening with roots music that harkens back to the savory licks of the 1920s.

FABnyc is proud to be an active leader helping to cultivate the dynamic, creative community of the Lower East Side. The Blind Pig will not only be a celebration of ABnyc’s work, but will also help this organization kick-off another year of innovation and community building.

Fourth Arts Block (FABnyc) was founded in 2001 by arts and community groups to preserve and promote the East 4th Street Cultural District’s rich heritage and creativity. Today, FABnyc has expanded to become a service and advocacy organization for the Lower East Side, leading the renovation of more than 100,000 square feet of arts space; promoting the neighborhood as an arts destination; and providing support services to local arts groups through trainings, special events, public art, resource-sharing and sustainability initiatives.
