Definitely one of the iconic artists in contemporary art, Tracey Emin had her fifth solo US show at both locations of Lehmann Maupin. AF came to the Chelsea site and perused the work of this significant artist where the stark nature of her oeuvre still captivated art lovers. On a center table were seven new bronze sculptures with miniature hand molded human figures and animals while paintings on the walls depicted the passion and intimacy of a couple locked in mid to post coital embrace. The 201 Chrystie location will be showcasing her gouache on paper drawings with the Lonely Chair series. About 100 pieces of new work will be on both locations to satisfy any fan of Emin and follow her glimmering passion like rays of the sun. To that, we say get some sun block and let It burn baby burn!
