Israeli artist, Yael Bartana, presented a trilogy of films made in Poland between 2007 to 2011 for her solo exhibition. It revolves around the activities of the Jewish Renaissance Movement seeking the return of the Jews to the land of the forefathers. The total running time of the three film series is about 60 minutes so spend an hour if you can to take in the full artistic vision. It is quite interesting to notice the essence of the imagery hearkened to World War II propaganda films with respect to the subject. AF came to the opening last April 4th and in the cinematic darkness viewed the films to walk away with a profound sense of a political yet artistic statement from Bartana. Our camera verité visionaire, Max Noy, took some stunning shots as well of that premiere night. As you can see, it was RED HOT!
