Picture This: Sculptures by Emil Alzamora at Krause Gallery

Oh Yeah! More Pound to the Ounce in Art
Oh Yeah! More Pound to the Ounce in Art

Some are life-sized and others in miniature scale but there is no denying that the sculptures of Emil Alzamora livened up Krause Gallery for the opening of his show, Soft Pioneers. The hand sculpted pieces of gypsum and resin was a garden of delight as AF trekked into the interiors of this amazing gem of an art space. Benjamin Krause had to ingeniously plan out every square inch to fit in the impressive works that acutely straddled the line between a Goth version of a Giacometti and a more angular Fernando Botero. Our new AF photographer, Olya Turcihin, had a grand time taking shots of Alzamora’s amazing works and the fun night at the gritty bosom of the LES.
