I am a Cuban artist who immigrated to the United States two years ago. I have created many pieces of art since being here and have exhibited often. Within the last two years, I have had the good fortune of having my work purchased for the permanent collection of 21c Museum in Louisville, Kentucky. Twenty of my works have been exhibited in the show “Cuba Now” which runs through January, 2012.
21c Museum has been recognized nationally for its unusual contribution to the art world both in innovation and scope. It is dedicated solely to collecting and exhibiting contemporary art of the 21st century. I have been honored by this association.
I was also fortunate to be named as artist-in-residence at the Muhammad Ali Museum. There were 49 applicants. The focus of my work was Louis XVI, the French Revolution, and the court and society of that time. It was a growth experience and rewarding for my career.
I have exhibited often in Cuba. I have also exhibited in Rome, Italy, and Balearic Islands, Spain.
