Yi Hwan-Kwon’s work has been internationally exhibited and collected; his works were included most recently in a group show titled Korean Eye: Moon Generation at the Phillips de Pury & Co. Space at the Saatchi Gallery, London (June 20- September 15, 2010) and in Between Imagery and Reality, a two-man show held at the Atrium in Times Square, Hong Kong (July 22- August 22, 2010).

One of the most widely recognized and admired young Korean sculptors today; Yi Hwan-Kwon’s renown is testament to his focus and originality. His unique, distorted sculptures made of Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) create optical illusions that offer a disorienting exploration of movement, the time-space continuum, and the divergence between two and three-dimensional planes. Yi Hwan-Kwon’s sculptures invite viewers to decipher a blurred perception of a startlingly comforting faux reality.
